Schutt XV Varsity Back Plate
Back protection that disappears into the kit and stays put through four quarters.
A back plate only does its job once you forget it is there. The XV Varsity Back Plate mounts straight onto your XV Varsity shoulder pads and sits tight against the lower back, exactly where the hit lands when you get driven down or caught from behind. The belt adjusts through multiple heights, so you set the position once and it stays, whether you want the plate high and tight or lower for more coverage.
Protection and fit
- Coated belt connection: Multi height adjustment lets you set the plate exactly where you want it, and locks it there.
- Flux cushioning: A breathable cushion system that keeps air moving instead of trapping heat against your back.
- Anti-microbial treatment: Built into the cushioning, so the plate stays fresher through a full season of reps.
- Seamless integration: Shaped around the XV series of shoulder pads, so there are no gaps, no rattle and no fighting the fit.

When will my order arrive?
Most EU orders arrive in 2–5 business days. You’ll see your exact ETA at checkout and in your tracking email. If anything changes, we’ll email you with the new expected date. If an item becomes unavailable, we’ll contact you right away with alternatives or a refund.
Pre-orders/backorders display an expected ship date.
What is your return/exchange policy?
Returns are accepted within 14 days from you received the item in unused condition with original packaging. Exchanges are supported; start in our Returns Portal. Refunds are processed 3–7 business days after we receive your item.
Will I pay customs, VAT or extra fees?
EU: VAT included, no fees on delivery.
Norway: VOEC—VAT collected at checkout on eligible orders.
UK & non-EU: Local duties/taxes may apply per local rules (shown or linked at checkout).
Which payment methods can I use?
